Pets

So for a long time I really wanted a pet. I grew up with animals in the house. We always had a cat. To this day my parents have a cat ( which I found and gave to them but that is another story).  We had hamsters, fish, and a dog too. The first time I lived without a pet was when I went off to college. You couldn't have pets in the dorms. My friend Sarah tried to keep a fish but he didn't live very long. It could have been because she kept him in a Smirnoff bottle.

Anyways I have since moved on from college and now live with my awesome friend Katie. She is an awesome roommate but unfortunately she is allergic to most animals. While there are some hypo-allergenic dogs out there we both agreed that we didn't really time to properly take care of a dog. We also didn't have the space for the monster mutt dog that I wanted.

We would love to get a cat but she is uber allergic to cats. Her Uncle (who lives downstairs) is also super allergic so cat was out.  Katie would let me get a lizard. I mean come on....couldn't you just picture me walking a huge iguana down the street! How awesome would that be!  Katie was not a fan.

So what kind of pet could we get?? I mean we could get fish. Fish are pretty. Low maintenance. But they are kinda boring.   I couldn't get my pony. I mean....just a little Shetland pony in the yard would have been great. Would have kept the grass cut and the kids in the neighborhood would have loved it! I was denied. So what could we get......

I searched the Internet for answers. You can always find answers on the Internet! (God Bless Google) I think I found a winner......

Teacup Pigs! How cute are they! They don't have fur (they have hair), they are litter box trained, they stay small (space is also an issue), and I could still walk him down the street! Now some of you are thinking "Aren't pigs messy" and "What do you feed them?" Well the answer is no they are not messy. In fact they are very clean when kept in a house or apartment! They do have special food though which could be a pain. You also have to make sure you are zoned to have them since they are livestock. But look how cute!!! Only draw back.......LOTS OF MONEY TO GET ONE!!!  This little guy above is name Haig....and he is $4500. If you check out the website  Teacup Pigs for Sale you can see that they spay the pigs, have them checked by the Vet, and fly them out to you at no extra cost. So....yeah I think its worth it.   My only problem is....there is no way I have an extra $4500 laying around to get one.

So I guess for now....the pig will be added to the list of pets I want. Along with the Pony and lizard.

It's a brave new world

This blog is a new idea I had. I know it seems like everyone is blogging about something these days and I thought why not.  I don't have an exact theme for this blog. It will mostly be about my thoughts on life and the things I like.   So lets jump right in it shall we.....

A few things that have caught my eye on the internets as of late...

Some really awesome jewlery that I have found and would love to buy

Just look how beautiful this steampunk butterfly is that  Bionic Unicorn made. She makes some truly amazing things and you should check out her Etsy shop!

If your a big Doctor Who fan like me then you have to check out DadManCult . He has made some awesome digital prints of all the doctors. Check out this one

Look at all the detail!  David Tennant is my favorite doctor although Matt Smith is growing on me a lot.

And finally check out this extra large crochet Totoro!!

I mean wow! That is one big Totoro!  All I ever managed to crochet was one long braid......but Amiamigos has some really awesome things that you should take a look at.

Well that's all for now. I'm sure tomorrow there will be some more fun random things!
